I sure hope that you know how much I appreciate you taking the time to stop by! It really does mean the world to me! I am so excited to ask you a question…


What If You Could Change Your Life Through Laughing?


Would you want to hear more about this? Good, because that is our topic today! But first, let’s discuss what we have been learning!


I hope that you all have been practicing your lessons in Gratitude over the last couple of weeks! I know in the beginning it is a mindset change as well as an overall change in our awareness! It will take you a while to get used to doing these activities daily, but I certainly hope that you stick with it, as you should already be seeing some positive changes in yourselves already!

Remember, the purpose of learning & doing these activities is to change our lives forever! These activities have been put in front of you to show you that YOU are in charge of your life! No one else! You have the power to choose to be happy, successful, healthy, anything you want in this life you can have! It all begins with changing your thoughts & being grateful for who you are & all that you have right now! 🙂


Your past is your behind you…..so don’t look back you are not going that way! It is time to look forward to all that you want life to be & take the reins to go get it!


I will be giving you building blocks to grow upon each time that I write & everything I share with you has been learned from my own journey. This journey has truly changed my life & I am forever grateful for the lessons that I have learned! So we are going to do this together & we are going to have a great time doing it! 🙂

Tell me….what are some things that you have noticed within yourselves? Have you noticed a difference within your thoughts? What about your thoughts when you are writing in your journal? Do you feel more grateful for the little things in life? Have you gotten into the gratitude routine yet?


It is all about consistency & that truly is the key to changing your thought processes! So please keep on writing in your journal & keep being aware of your thoughts as the next step will help you too.


This whole journey is about learning how to create happiness within, live life with gratitude, be positive, take control of your lives, & being able to manifest all that you want to live out your dreams! That is what we are creating with each little step! 🙂


Alright!!! So with all of that said it is now time to have some fun!  Life is just too dang short to constantly worry & stress….so I want you to focus on FUN!!! 🙂


We have so much to be grateful for in our lives…. but one thing that we should be so grateful for is LAUGHTER!!!


Laughter is the best medicine out there but we just don’t seem to get enough of it! So we are going to change that! 🙂


We all know that laughing is such an amazing feeling, especially when you are belly laughing & just can’t even begin to control yourself! We have all been there, right? Where you can’t catch your breath, your red in the face, & almost wet your pants? It makes you smile just thinking about it doesn’t it? 🙂


As I am writing this I am thinking of so many different “laughter episodes” that I have had with my friends & family & I automatically have a big smile on my face. Laughter is undeniably contagious & spreads faster than anything. It is BEAUTIFUL!

After a good laugh you feel exhausted but happy, a little giddy, but so much better! There are so many benefits of having a good laugh & the scientific benefits are fantastic too!

I have been reading about the many benefits laughter has on us & I would love to share some of them with you because they are INCREDIBLE! 🙂


Benefits of Laughter: What If You Could Change Your Life Through Laughing?


1. Laughing has such an incredible impact on stress!

When you have a good belly laugh it can actually relax your whole body. It helps to calm & soothe physical tension & stress, the tightness in your muscles, & the beautiful thing is that these benefits can last for up to an hour & after your laughing fun! How amazing is that?


2. Laughing can boost T-Cells!

T-cells are specialized immune system cells that are just waiting to be activated by your body  laughter is one thing that can activate them! Laughter also decreases stress hormones & increases immune cells, infection fighting antibodies improving your resistance to disease! So next time you feel sickness coming on pop in a good comedy & laugh off that illness! 🙂


3. Laughing triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers.

By laughing, you can release endorphins, which can help ease chronic pain and make you feel good all over. Who doesn’t love that? 🙂


4. Laughing protects the heart & lowers your blood pressure!

People who lower their blood pressure, even those who start at normal levels, will reduce their risk of stroke and heart attack. Obviously taking care of heart is incredibly important to your health, so your job is to find something that makes you laugh each day so you can laugh your way to a healthy heart!


5. Laughing burns calories is a great cardio workout!

It gets your heart pumping and burns a similar amount of calories per hour as walking at a slow to moderate pace Is there any better reason to laugh?  OK, so maybe we should still get our workouts in but what a great option to burn more calories!


If we could lose an extra three or four pounds over a year from laughing 1-15 minutes a day, why wouldn’t we do that? It is especially great for those who are incapable of doing other physical activity due to injury or illness. AND….it is a great ab workout for all of us! 


6. Laughing is also a great way to overcome anger!

Nothing gets rid of being angry then a good laugh with someone! Always look at every single situation to find something funny about it! There is always something to laugh about which lowers your blood pressure & reduces anxiety & gets you back on track! That is so important!


7. Laughing can actually add many years to your life!

There have been many studies showing those who have always had a sense of humor in life compared to those who have not lived noticeably longer! Laughter has also been studied throughout the years in cancer patients & has shown noticeable differences!


Well, there you go! Who the heck wouldn’t want to have FUN, have a healthier heart, boost you immune system, decrease your pain, relax & sooth your muscles, reduce stress, & burn calories??? It is seriously a win-win situation don’t you think? 🙂


Everyone loves to laugh….but what if you can’t think of anything to laugh about?

This is when you need to create situations to laugh about! I have gotten very good at it!  I am even pretty good at laughing at myself these days! I have become my best form of entertainment! 🙂


Honestly, there are so many things that can promote laughter & you all can see that LAUGHING is so important for us for so many reasons! So…I wanted to give you some ideas that can point you in the right direction to start laughing quickly! The great thing is that you are already doing some of these things already! 🙂


Ideas to get the laughter started!


1. Have Gratitude for all that you have!

You already know that this makes you feel so much better to write down all of the things you are grateful for, right?  So count your blessings as many times as you can each& every day! 🙂


2. Smile! 

I always smile because it always makes me feel happy! I have fun with smiling! I try to get as many people to smile at me each day, especially if someone may be a little cranky, that makes it a really fun challenge for me!  It is a fun game & it keeps me laughing at people! 🙂


3. Spend as much time with happy, upbeat, funny people as you can!

We all know that personalities like that are contagious & will provide a lot of laughter & fun!!!


4. Laugh at yourself!

We are all too hard on ourselves & we need to just take a deep breath & laugh at yourself for being so crazy once in a while! You’ll be amazed at how much it eases your tension & lightens your mood! 🙂


Here are some ideas to create fun & laughter for you & your whole family!


1. Watch something funny!

It is so great to have so many choices to find movies on these days for free! Rent a movie, download one, whatever way is better for you, find something that makes you just laugh out loud! I do this when I am feeling stressed, I light some candles, grab my favorite blanket, grab a glass of wine, & settle in to get ready for some laughter & I ALWAYS feel better! 🙂


2. Break out the home videos!

This is something that is guaranteed to get everyone belly laughing! This is My FAVORITE thing to do & is an amazing treat for all who watches! 🙂


3. Play board games with your kids!

Apples to Apples, Pictionary, Uno, always brings my family to tears! It is so much fun & a sure way to let the whole family laugh some of their stress off together! 😉


4. Exercise with your family!

This is always something to have fun with & is guaranteed to bring lots of giggles! Every time we go on bike rides, runs, playing sports, whatever, we always find something that makes us giggle & then break into a contagious laughter! It is SO good for us! 🙂


5. Spend time with your pets!

Pets have an undeniable way of shifting our moods & if you play with them they are certain to make us giggle! It is always a favorite thing to do in my house! Between the dogs, cat, horses, chickens, & bunny it is always funny around here!


6. Listen to upbeat, fun music!

Even if you have to clean the house ALL day, dancing to your favorite music is a sure way to make you smile & enjoy the moment! 🙂


There are so many ways to create laughter…you know you the best..so find those things that have made you laugh in the past & put them back into your life! I guarantee you will feel a sense of happiness, who doesn’t want that? 🙂


The greatest thing about this post is that everything is so beneficial for you & your family’s health, it creates bonds between you, your friends & family, creates much-needed laughter, & adds to those precious memories! 🙂


This weekend I want you to have some fun! You all deserve to have fun & laugh each & every day! No matter what your situation is you can still find a moment to have fun,  laugh, & giggle for a few minutes each day! Just look at how HEALTHY you will be! 🙂


I have gone through some very tough times & I will say the one thing that got me through everything was finding moments to laugh out loud! Whether it was reminiscing through old times, or doing any of the things above, even in my deepest sadness I found things to laugh about!


That is your new task, LAUGHING! I want you to add this to your daily routine of being aware of your thoughts & writing in your Gratitude Journal! It is so fun & you will enjoy it! Really what could be better? 🙂
