Hi, I'm Kristi.

I'm a wife, a mom of four, and the founder of The Giggling Life Care Farm.

If you had told me years ago that this little farm would become my life's work, I never would have believed you.

Like many people, I've walked through seasons that changed me. Through those experiences, I found healing in the most unexpected places—in the quiet of nature, in slowing down, and in the unconditional love of animals. What started as my own journey toward healing eventually became a dream to create a place where others could experience that same sense of peace, connection, and hope.

In 2019, that dream became The Giggling Life Care Farm.

Since then, I've had the incredible privilege of watching thousands of children discover confidence, kindness, resilience, and joy through agriculture and animal connection. Some of the most meaningful lessons in life don't happen in a classroom—they happen while bottle-feeding a baby goat, brushing a horse, collecting eggs, or simply sitting quietly with an animal.

As a mom, I know how quickly childhood passes. That's why I'm so passionate about creating a place where kids can slow down, get dirty, laugh often, build confidence, and simply be kids. Every program we offer is rooted in the belief that nature, animals, and meaningful relationships have the power to change lives.

When I'm not teaching on the farm, you'll usually find me with my family, cheering on my kids, caring for our animals, or dreaming about what's next for this little place that has become home.

Thank you for being here and for believing in what we're building. I truly hope our story inspires you to create a life filled with purpose, joy, and meaningful connection.

A Little About My Time in Colorado

I’ve been married to my incredible husband for over 32 years, and together we've built a life full of adventure with our four amazing kids, now ages 16 to 29. Our family thrives on big dreams and bold experiences—we love traveling, racing, boating, skiing, paddleboarding, and just about anything that fuels our passion for life. Through every high and low, we’ve learned to cherish each day as the gift it is. I’m deeply grateful for the love and support of my family, and I’m just as committed to helping them reach their dreams as they’ve been in supporting mine.

Background

From an early age, I felt called to help others and pursued that passion through education, earning a BS in Behavioral Science and a master’s in education. I spent years as a stay-at-home mom while also working as a substitute teacher and Art Docent in San Diego schools. One of my proudest accomplishments was co-creating the “I Am Journey” women’s empowerment program with Caley Carroll, and diving into Equine Assisted Therapy and Life Coaching—fields I’m passionate about and eager to continue studying.

In 2022, we launched the Boots & Buckles 4-H program through Adams County, allowing kids to care for animals on our Care Farm without needing their own property. Having benefited from 4-H myself, I’m dedicated to helping today’s youth gain the same values—like leadership, empathy, and responsibility—through hands-on experiences outdoors. My goal is to support and educate others using the healing power of animals and nature, and I invite you to learn more through my blog.
